Dinosaur footprint painting Activity? How fun does that sound?! I can tell you right away that my kids LOVED this and yours will too!
Not only is this so fun but its also a low prep activity. Now, it can get a bit messy so I suggest you lay out some sheets that you don’t mind getting dirty so you have an easy clean up.
My son is OBSESSED with dinosaurs! I have probably learned more about dinosaurs through my 3 year old than anywhere else. So we have tons of toy dinos!

For this activity, we used 4 simple dino figures that we got at the dollar store. You can even get these on Amazon:
How We Put It Together
First, I laid out a blanket that we use for crafts so that no paint would get on our floors.
After this is laid out some cardstock. You can use regular paper as well. I just chose cardstock because the paper is bigger.
Next, I poured some paint onto a piece of cardboard so that the kids could dip the dino feet easily.
Once the setup was done, the kids got right to it. They loved dipping the dinos into the paint and creating dinosaur footprints!
This activity is pretty straightforward but you can work so many other activities into it. You can practice color mixing, make a footprint rainbow or create a Dino footprint map!
